Hein Wiedijk studied under George Pieterson at Sweelinck conservatorium , graduating with distinction.

Il a fondé le Trio Dante He founded Trio Dante with Frank van de Laar (piano) and Larissa Groeneveld (cello), winning a number of prizes at international chamber music competitions. The trio has released several albums, produced radio recordings, and performed all over Europe.

Since 1996, Hein Wiedijk has been a member of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. In parallel with his orchestral activity, he plays in numerous chamber music ensembles, with the likes of Gervase de Peyer, Bijlsma, Vera Beths, Han de Vries, Pierre Pierlot, Alexei Ogrinchouk, Hervé Joulain, George Pieterson, and Kathryn Stott.

He has recorded Brahms clarinet sonatas with Frank van de Laar and Pierre Wispelwey, and recently founded the chamber music ensemble Camarata RCO, with members of Amsterdam’s Royal Orchestra. Camerata have played at major festivals in Europe, Asia and the USA. He has also recordedRavel’s Introduction Allegro with Emily Beynon (flute).

Hein Wiedijk has been playing with Steuer’s S100 model for over twenty years.
